Black couture,set in two worlds

A saree among rose gold arches and an anarkali in a heritage house, with every thread held true.

Couture · Campaign

Two looks. Two worlds. One standard of detail.

A black saree and a black anarkali, each given its own set, light and story, with the embroidery, lace and beadwork carried exactly from the garment into every frame.

Desert Rose

Black chiffon saree with a hand embellished gold blouse. Rose gold arches, warm sand and falling petals.

A model in a black chiffon saree with a gold embellished blouse stands before a glowing arch as red rose petals and sand drift through the air.
Portrait: the model holds a white peacock against her cheek, the gold blouse and statement earrings lit warm against a rose wall.
The model framed between weathered wooden doors, the black saree falling in long sequined pleats.
Kneeling on sand, the model lets rose petals fall from the sheer pallu as it sweeps across the floor.
Back view of the saree: the embroidered blouse back and the pallu draped over one shoulder beside a gold candelabra.
At dusk the model in the black saree stands at a tall arched window of a wood panelled house, her sequined pallu trailing behind her past a glowing floor lamp.

Heritage House

Black floral anarkali with a sheer dupatta. A wood panelled mansion, red velvet and a long train across the rug.

The model in a black floral anarkali rests a hand on a carved staircase banister, the sheer dupatta trailing across a Persian rug.
The model reclines on a red velvet sofa, the anarkali skirt and sheer dupatta fanned out across the rug.
Wide view: the model in a black floral anarkali stands in a wood panelled hall, its long train spread across a Persian rug.
Detail: the cutwork lace sleeve with raised floral embroidery and beading, silver bangles at the wrist.
The model glances back over her shoulder, the dupatta trailing behind her across the hall.

From dress form to campaign

The only input was the garment on a dress form. Everything else, the model, the house and the light, was built around it.

After: the same anarkali worn by the model in the wood panelled mansion, every floral motif and lace edge intact. After

The Result

Couture detail that survives every frame.

Neckline florals, cutwork sleeves, lace hems and sequin work were checked against the garment in every image, so the collection reads as one shoot across the website, lookbook and social.
